  3. Please leave your shoes in the foyer, and bring ONLY what you need.
  4. If possible, Bring your own mats and props. we are now renting mats, blocks and bolsters.
  5. If you intend to use a bolster, please bring a blanket or towel to cover it.
  6. We have great props available for sale in the boutique!
  7. We have taped out designated mat spaces. Teachers will assign you a space after checking you in.
  8. We ask that you keep your belongings within your 6 feet of space.
  9. You must wear a mask between classes.
  10. Some classes require masks! Others do NOT require a mask. Please know the difference and respect the requirements!
  11. Teachers will not offer hands-on adjustments and will remain centered in the studio to maintain safe distancing protocols!
  12. It is likely that we will have 108 COVID-related posters plastered all over the walls and YES, of course we believe that you will read them all!
  13. We are going to keep these “rigid” protocols in place until we get through flu season.

Get the Best Experience

Suggestions for optimizing your at-home yoga experience

There is no denying the fact that it is hard to recreate the essence of a yoga studio when you practice online. We encourage you to see this as an opportunity to create your own sacred, zen, space in your home. Taking a moment to carve out the time and space to practice IS the beauty of not being in the studio. Let go of your expectations to have an “undisturbed” practice and let yourself go with the flow!

When you enter the Virtual Classroom:

  • Please mute yourself
  • You can choose to turn off your video, but the instructor won’t be able to offer you feedback.
  • If you’re leaving your video on, position your camera so that the instructor can see your whole body when you’re sitting, standing, and laying down.

Use of Props:

These virtual classes will be simplified versions of a normal studio class- which means we will use fewer props. Props help us in many ways; the two primary reasons for props are to; help you get deeper into a pose and KEEPING YOU SAFE!! Please be sure to have props or supplemental props nearby to help you have a safe, transformational practice. We recommend keeping a folded blanket/towel, blocks (or books), and a strap/belt nearby. If you have your own props, feel free to use them and if you would like to purchase your own, contact us at thriveyogacrestedbutte@gmail.com. The most commonly used props are two blocks, 10 ft. strap, a bolster, and blankets.
